## What this desk is

Friend With Peptides is an independent reading desk for the published research on three molecules studied under the heading of everyday cellular upkeep: NAD+, MOTS-c and Epitalon. It is not a clinic, not a pharmacy, not a vendor and not a practice. Nothing here is for sale, and no relationship exists between this desk and anyone who sells these compounds.

The name is warm on purpose and the method is not. The friendly register is about *access* — explaining a folate cycle or a telomerase subunit in language a curious non-specialist can follow, rather than hiding behind vocabulary. It is not about softening a conclusion. Every enthusiastic sentence on this site is followed by the citation that supports it and the caveat that limits it, and where the caveat is the whole story, the caveat gets the space.

The theme is deliberately narrow. Longevity and cellular health is an enormous field; this desk reads only the maintenance corner of it — the compounds framed as topping up ordinary housekeeping rather than treating a diagnosed condition. That corner has a particular problem, which is that its claims are the hardest to test and its marketing is the least restrained, and describing that gap accurately is most of what this site is for.

## How a page here is built

Every factual claim on this site originates in a signed, citation-audited compound corpus — a single reviewed research file per compound, checked once and reused, rather than research re-done from scratch for each page. The three corpora behind this desk cover NAD+, MOTS-c and Epitalon, and the numbered [references](/references) list is drawn directly from them without renumbering, addition or substitution.

That has a consequence worth naming. If a claim cannot be traced to a citation in that list, it does not appear here — which is why the sections on community-reported effects are complete for Epitalon and absent for the other two. The corpora carry curated, community-sourced reports for Epitalon and none for NAD+ or MOTS-c, so those pages say so plainly instead of filling the space with plausible-sounding testimony.

Quantitative claims carry a bracketed reference number. Study doses appear only as records of what a published experiment administered, to whom, and for how long. No page here converts a study dose into a recommendation, and no page publishes a protocol.

## What this desk will not do

The most useful service a desk like this can perform is to keep the species, the sample size and the study design attached to the number — and to do it in a tone that makes the reading enjoyable rather than punishing.
